Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field the Seattle Seahawks retained first place in the NFC West by stomping the Arizona Cardinals 44-22.
The comfortable lead the Seahawks enjoyed for much of the game after jumping
out to a 35-0 lead midway through the second quarter allowed many starters to play fewer snaps than they otherwise would have played, which also meant that many of the depth pieces on the roster got a chance to see the field for more extended playing time than would have been expected.
For example, rookie undrafted free agent tight end Nick Kallerup was active for the second game in a row and logged 30 offensive snaps as the Seahawks took to the ground in the second half to churn clock. Meanwhile, rookie second round pick Elijah Arroyo played 29 offensive snaps, and starting tight end AJ Barner played just 23 offensive snaps.
Similarly, Cody White led Seattle receivers with 45 offensive snaps, with Cooper Kupp playing 33 and Jaxon Smith-Njigba being on the field for only 26 offensive plays.
Up front, Grey Zabel, Anthony Bradford and Abe Lucas all played every snap, while Jalen Sundell left with a knee injury after playing 23 snaps and Olu Oluwatimi taking over. However, Oluwatimi was also pulled before the end of the contest, with Bryce Cabeldue finishing out the game at center for the Seahawks. Similarly, at left tackle Josh Jones took over for Charles Cross on the final possession, meaning every offensive lineman who dress for Seattle saw the field on offense against Arizona.
On the defensive side of the ball much of the starting secondary played the majority of the game, with Coby Bryant, Ty Okada, Devon Witherspoon, Tariq Woolen and Nick Emmanwori all on the field for greater than ninety percent of defensive snaps.
In addition, Mike Morris played the third highest defensive snap count of his career, while also leading the team in special teams snaps on the day. Meanwhile, Tyrice Knight recorded his second highest snap count of the season in the absence of Ernest Jones, while Nehemiah Pritchett played the most he has in any game so far in 2025.
As already mentioned, Mike Morris led the Seahawks in special teams snaps, surpassing the regular leader, Brady Russell, by a single snap, with D’Anthony Bell at 19 snaps and Chazz Surratt coming in at 17 snaps.
Amusingly, between the number of extra points and field goals followed by kickoffs as the offense moved up and down the field all day, Jason Myers finished out the top five in special teams snaps for the Seahawks
And now it’s on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11.
