The transfer portal is running hot and Tennessee is looking to make another splash or two today after kicking things off on Sunday. The Volunteers grabbed Kansas State safety Qua Moss, giving Jim Knowles
the first new piece of his defense.
Knowles has more targets in Knoxville on Monday, two of which he knows very well. As we sift through all of the news, we’ll try to keep an up to date tracker of who is on campus today. Here’s what we know at this point, thanks to various reports and social media.
Tennessee Monday Transfer Portal Visitors
Any new updates will be posted as they become available
Chaz Coleman
The former Penn State edge rusher did, in fact, make it out of Baton Rouge. Coleman and Lane Kiffin posted a picture on social media after a Saturday visit, sparking plenty of speculation that he may shut things down. However, Coleman will visit with his old defensive coordinator today in Knoxville, taking in the Tennessee campus. The Volunteers would certainly have to pony up the cash for the 6-4, 245 pound edge rusher, but he would form quite the duo with Jordan Ross for 2026.
Keep in mind that Coleman has three years of eligibility remaining, coming out of his true freshman season.
Khmori House
Tennessee was heavily connected to Baylor linebacker Keaton Thomas, but he committed to Ole Miss over the weekend. Tennessee will now host North Carolina linebacker Khmori House today, looking to replace Arion Carter in the middle of the defense. House had 78 tackles for the Tar Heels this season in his first year as a starter. He would have two years of eligibility remaining.
Jaquez White
The standout cornerback from Troy will be in Knoxville on Monday, coming off of a big year one in FBS ball. White picked off three passes for the Trojans this season while adding 11 passes defensed. The 6-1 corner was an active tackler as well, credited with 67 on the year.
Tennessee’s need at corner is an obvious one with Jermod McCoy, Rickey Gibson, Colton Hood, Boo Carter and Jalen McMurray all hitting the exits.
Xavier Gilliam
Gilliam, another Penn State transfer coming off of his freshman season, will visit Tennessee on Monday. The 6-2, 302 pound defensive tackle would give Tennessee some size and immediate depth up front with a handful of key Vol defensive lineman now out of eligibility. Knowles and Rodney Garner likely need a couple of bodies here going into 2026.
