WWE was short one superstar at Friday night’s SmackDown in Berlin, Germany: R-Truth. While the rest of the roster showed up as scheduled, Truth was somewhere else entirely.
Truth posted a message and a video on X to explain his absence and apologize to fans.
“Hey, I just wanted to come on here and apologize to everybody,” Truth said as he spoke in the parking lot of a Burlington retail store with his gear bag in hand.
“I’m not gonna make it for SmackDown,” he continued. “I just been informed that I went to the wrong place for SmackDown tonight.” Truth struggled to pronounce Berlin, still mixing it up with the store he was at.
Truth went on to point out the obvious, saying, “SmackDown is not here tonight. Just lettin’ y’all know. This one might be on me.”
And to think WWE was going to let this man go.
Truth, we forgive you. Never change. Thank you for being a ray of light and a source of humor in these unusual times.
That’s what’s up.
