The Cleveland Browns have a bit of a unique schedule this season. They don’t play any West Coast games, but they also began the season with two straight games in Florida. That means dealing with the summer heat and humidity. Last week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars got them a taste of things, but will it be the same this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Pretty much.
Per the Weather Channel, temperatures are expected to be in the high 80s at around 88 degrees, with the feels like temperature at 95
degrees. Wind is not expected to play a factor, but precipitation might.
The forecast is currently calling for scattered thunderstorms around 4:00 pm ET. Now, last week, that wouldn’t have been an issue. Cleveland was beaten so badly and so quickly, that the game was over quickly — I think it was around 3:45 pm ET, which is crazy, as all of the other games still had the majority of the fourth quarter left to play.
Originally, the forecast was projected that thunderstorm to play a factor in the 3:00 pm ET hour too. It’s only projected at 42%, so that is far from a guarantee. But, if the game ends up being a tight one down the stretch, it’s possible that weather could play a factor in the final moments of the game.
For what its worth, Accuweather is calling for the thunderstorm chances to be closer to 5:00 pm ET. We’ll continue to monitor the forecast and the threat for inclement weather as gametime approaches.
