Lead rumor: Two night Royal Rumble
When WrestleMania went two nights, and then SummerSlam went two nights, it was only a matter of time before there was talk of Royal Rumble going two nights. There’s been at least some talk, and now JBL is getting in on the fun on the Something to Wrestle podcast.
He makes clear to say he doesn’t have sources telling him anything and he isn’t reporting anything officially but he speculates the talk of the Rumble going to two nights is coming from ESPN instead of WWE.
He thinks ESPN just wants something for what is otherwise a dead weekend between the NFL title games and the Super Bowl.
Either way, the talk of Royal Rumble stretching to two nights will surely continue.

- PW Insider says they “haven’t heard 100-percent” if Haku is now full time but he was obviously there for the big title win for MFT and it sure seems like he could be a regular presence going forward.
- Bryan Alvarez notes WWE has added some house shows in December and the schedule is increasing in that regard.
- UFC is expanding in Las Vegas, and per the Las Vegas Review Journal there could be a physical space for WWE within that expansion.
- For what it’s worth, Jacob Fatu said on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast that he was originally going to debut in a ski mask but Triple H told him he didn’t have to use it.
