According to a report from Record (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Sporting CP will be missing three key attacking players — Francisco Trincão, Geovany Quenda, and Pedro Gonçalves — against Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the Champions League:
Sporting will have three significant absences against Bayern tomorrow. Francisco Trincão, Geovany Quenda, and Pedro Gonçalves did not make the trip to Munich.
Quenda has five goals and eight assists in 22 games across all competitions, Trincão has eight goals and seven
assists in 21 games across all competitions, and while Gonçalves has 10 goals and six assists. Combined, that is 23 goals and 21 assists that will be missing from Sporting Club’s attack.
Ouch.
While not a complete dealbreaker, this does make things far more complicated for Sporting CP. It should be noted that none of the players were listed on Transfermarkt’s injury report earlier today.
