The Washington Commanders are on the road for Week 6 with a bye to follow in Week 7. They are traveling to the west coast to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. A big game in primetime with a lot of implications for Dan Quinn and others in the organization. The Commanders come into this game with a 1-3-1 record and they made a devastating series of mistakes on the final drive/play of overtime, leading to a tie with the Giants. They need to wipe the stink off that result, but
they’ll have a tall task taking on the 5-0 49ers on the road.
The Commanders offense will be without RB Bill Croskey-Merritt, but should have their top two WRs who have been dealing with hamstring injuries back. They also activated CB Trey Amos, RB Jeremy McNichols, and LB Jordan Magee from injured reserve. Washington will need all hands on deck, and a big game from QB Jayden Daniels to leave California with the win.
The 49ers share the best record in football with the Chiefs and Vikings at 5-0. Brock Purdy has been playing at an MVP-level this season, despite the injuries that have decimated the Niners WR room. San Francisco is coming off a hard-fought division win against the Seattle Seahawks.
