Football:
News broke yesterday that FSU and Georgia are canceling the home and home series in favor of a neutral site game likely based in Tampa, Florida. College Football programs, in an effort to generate revenue and control scheduling, are becoming more reluctant to schedule tough, out-of-conference games in the future (Nebraska-Tennessee & Alabama-West Virginia already canceled their home-and-home series in 2025).
With the news that the AFCA is pushing for the College Football Playoff to expand to 24 teams,
it’s becoming increasingly likely that major P4 programs will try to move to a scheduling model that maximizes the chances of being an at-large bid for the playoff.

Survive and Advance — FSU beat a hot Georgia Tech team (10-3 against non-FSU teams since April 1st) 2-1 last yesterday and will take on Stanford today at 1 pm:
It’s rivalry weekend in South Carolina as FSU will be on the road for the final time during the regular season as they face the Clemson Tigers (29-20, 8-16 ACC):
Florida State is hard to beat when these two are locked in:
I’m not in favor of expansion, although I don’t have strong feelings against it either, but if it were 76 teams this year there’s a decent chance FSU would have been in the field:
Recruiting:
FSU has offered 2028 DB Alejandro Torres:
Top-50 2027 edge Abraham Sesay is feeling pressure from coaches to make a decision but he intends on taking all of his official visits before making a decision. As it currently stands FSU gets the last visit the weekend of June 19th before he makes a decision during the summer.
“After spring, a lot of programs started putting the pressure on because OVs are coming and some programs want kids before OVs,” the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Sesay said. “Definitely, the pressure is on but I had a plan going into my recruitment that I wanted to make a decision in the summer.
“I wanted to put my full focus on my commitment, and my full focus on school. If I commit during the school time, I feel like that will take my focus away from school when I am trying to finish strong. I really want to continue my plan and commit in the summertime so I will take my OVs.”
