The NFL continues to reveal the names on the Top 100 players in 2025, and Zack Baun earned his first ever spot on the list at No. 26, becoming the sixth player from the Philadelphia Eagles to be named.
Baun earned a new contract with the Eagles after his All-Pro 2024 season, which not only ended with a Super Bowl ring, but in which he also recorded 151 total tackles, 11 tackles for
loss, five forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery — and that’s just in the regular season. Throughout their playoff run, the Pro Bowl linebacker notched an additional 33 total tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. He was all over the field and quickly took on a leadership role for the league’s No. 1 defense.
It wasn’t a surprise to many of his former Saints teammates that Baun had a breakout season last year, with more than a handful lauding his efforts. He’s earned the respect of players throughout the league too, for how he maximized his opportunity and was able to succeed.
Colts’ LB Zaire Franklin noted, “From watching on the sidelines, it’s easier said than done. And when you’re able to come from the bench into the starting role, and then end up being amongst the League’s best, I think that’s something that should be recognized.”
