All fighters made weight for UFC’s first-ever event in Belgrade, Serbia, on Friday morning, including welterweight headliners Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez. The card goes down Saturday at Belgrade Arena.
Serbia’s own Medic stepped on the scale at 171 pounds, the same weight as his opponent Rodriguez. He is set to main event a UFC card on home soil for the first time, and enters the five-round bout riding a three-fight first-round knockout streak.
Rodriguez, who also won his past three in the octagon,
returns to action after spending eight months in a Mexican prison.
UFC Belgrade is co-headlined by former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz facing short-notice opponent Navajo Stirling. Also on the main card, former 205-pound contender Aleksandar Rakic hit the 237.5 pound mark for his heavyweight debut opposite Marcin Tybura.
