Good afternoon, Fear the Wall.
Happy Monday. BVB got back to winning ways this weekend, which was a nice change. I was not able to devotedly watch the game, but I caught both goals. Hoffenheim are no slouch
of a side this year, so it’s a good result.
Kovac rotated pretty heavily as well, which was good to see. It seemed like Couto had a really strong performance, and Sabitzer played decently as well.
BVB News
- Niko Kovac applauded Couto’s performance, calling it a “straight 10”.
- Nico Schlotterbeck continues to pick up links abroad, especially to Barcelona.
- Fabio Silva has gotten some links to Spain as well, specifically Real Betis with a loan opportunity.
Bundesliga News
- Hamburg won their first derby in their return to the top flight, with Yussuf Poulsen breaking down Bremen late to score a storybook goal.
- Leipzig are good again, apparently.
- Despite their victory, Augsburg ultras continued to chastise their club for its recent upheaval (including the appointment of Sandro Wagner), which has failed to pay dividends.
Champions League is back this week; Dortmund face Bodø/Glimt on Wednesday at 3:00p EST.
