Bayern Munich’s second goal in the DFB-Pokal quarterfinal win over Rasenballsport Leipzig was a thing of beauty. A long, flowing passing move from the Bavarians, in which eight separate players touched
the ball, led to a sumptuous assist from Michael Olise to Luis Díaz, who shrugged off a challenge from Willi Orban to score the crucial goal and seal a 2-0 victory.
After the match, Harry Kane — who for once was not involved in the goal— was asked about the goal and what it says about the way the team is harmonizing.
“To be honest, the way we finished the game [demonstrated the team’s harmony]. 2-0 is still a kinda tight scoreline, but in the last 20 minutes we took the game away from them. The way we move, the way we help each other and keep possession all works together,” said Kane. “That is how we scored the second goal. It was a great ball by Michael and a tidy finish from Lucho. We attack together, we defend together and we enjoy these moments.”
