If you’re anything like me, you haven’t been having the most fun with NXT over the past year or so.
There was a time the brand was its own indie, with some of the top talent around the world plying their craft there, and you could argue it was a better product than the main roster. Then, they changed the direction, put Shawn Michaels in charge, and made it more of an actual developmental program. Even still, plenty of big money stars came through, like Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, Carmelo
Hayes, and more.
Now? It’s looking pretty bleak.
Part of the reason for that may be the fact that NXT television can be a bit disjointed. They get two hours of time on The CW every Tuesday night, and the creative minds behind the show throw a lot at you. That also means there isn’t as much time to go in depth with the roster of characters.
They may be trying to correct that with a new show lead commentator Vic Joseph just announced today on his Instagram (quote edited for clarity):
“Excited to be part of a brand NEW show bringing you in-depth stories about your favorite WWE NXT superstars! Join Blake Howard and me on Beyond the Bell coming soon to the The CW – who do you want to learn more about???”
We definitely need a deeper look at folks like Shiloh Hill, Tristan Angels, Kendal Gray, Kali Armstrong, Mason Rook, and many more.
Right?
