Jussef Nasrawe is one of the standout talents that rose through Bayern Munich’s youth teams with a lot of praise, lauded for his technical ability and intelligence on the field. His rise has slowed a little
in the last couple of years, with a fairly average 2024/25 season with the U-19s and an up and down 2025/26 season so far with the U-23s, forced out of position at left back time and time again this season. Still, he has been one of the better performers in the squad, has trained at times with the senior team and the club continues to place faith in his capabilities.
However, a move has been in the works and has now been consummated as the youngster will head to SV Oberbank Ried on loan per a release from FC Bayern:
Jussef Nasrawe (born March 22, 2007) is moving to the Austrian Bundesliga. The amateur midfielder will be loaned to sixth-placed SV Oberbank Ried until the summer. The Munich native still has a contract with FC Bayern until June 2027. Nasrawe joined the record champions’ academy in 2015 and progressed through all the youth teams. This season, he was a regular starter for Holger Seitz’s team, making 19 appearances in the Regionalliga Bayern (1 goal / 6 assists). In Ried, the left-footed player now aims to take the next step in his professional career.
Prior to the move, journalist Thomas Detering, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, reported that Nasrawe was heading to Austria:
Bayern talent Jussef Nasrawe (18) is on the verge of joining Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried on loan with an option to buy.
The option to buy may give some people pause. But loaning young players out in the January transfer window is tricky business. After all, why would any coach risk giving an inconsistent youngster that has not played a pre-season with the team regular playing time? The last two Bayern January loans to work out, however, were Bright-Arrey Mbi and Noël Aseko Nkili. Both had buy options included. Both were long term loans that attached those buy options to incentivize the clubs to play the players. Perhaps Nasrawe will follow in their footsteps.
As for SV Ried, they are not one of the many Austrian clubs that currently has a Bayern loanee in their ranks. They sit sixth in the Austria Bundesliga at the halfway stage of the campaign, though. They do have a fairly regular starting trio in midfield, so one wonders how Nasrawe would get playing time.
