Rumors for the Day:
- Appearing on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike, Triple H claimed that he’s been meeting with AJ Styles weekly to work on “a list of people” that Styles wants “to face and that he wants to meet in the ring before he retires”.
- There’s speculation that ESPN spoiled a big surprise during Seth Rollins’ appearance on Monday’s First Take when Ryan Clark asked Rollins about “coming back off of injury to participate in the Royal Rumble”. Seth quickly corrected him and said he “has a couple months left to go”, but some have convinced themselves his reaction proves Clark was on to something.
- Another sign that Rey Mysterio’s injury is not serious? He’s in Saudi Arabia as scheduled, per his Instagram.
- WWE’s discussed having Sol Ruca appear in the Women’s Royal Rumble, says PW Insider.
- Evil “has been backstage at a number of WWE events, supporting those close to him, and we’re told that there have been talks between the two sides”, reports Fightful Select. New Japan officials believe their former World champ will draw interest from other Japanese promotions, “but they expect him to try to relocate to the United States”.
