There will be no return trip to Surprise for Arizona.
The Wildcats were officially eliminated from Big 12 Tournament consideration on Friday, losing 13-1 in seven innings at Oklahoma State to even the series. They won Thursday’s opener to stay alive for the conference tourney but would have needed to sweep the weekend and get help to play next week at Surprise Stadium, where they began the 2026 season in February.
It was over almost before it started for the UA (19-33, 8-20 Big 12) as Oklahoma State
scored five runs in the bottom of the 1st including a leadoff home run against Owen Kramkowski. In what was likely the final college start for the draft-eligible right-hander, Kramkowski allowed eight runs (seven earned) in 1.1 innings and finished his junior season with a 1-8 record.
Arizona got its lone run on a solo homer by Carson McEntire, his team-leading 10th of the season. The Wildcats finished with two hits and struck out 13 times
The season finale is Saturday at 10 a.m. PT. A win would give Arizona its second Big 12 series victory.
