Barcelona star Lamine Yamal
has been quizzed on which strikers he would sign for the club amid continued talk about a move for Julian Alvarez. The Catalans are in the market for a new attacker and Alvarez is the focus, although a host of other strikers have also been linked with Barcelona.
Yamal has been asked for his thoughts and came up with two names when talking to Cope: “As long as he scores goals… I really like Julián [Alvarez] and [Mikel] Oyarzabal. We’ll support whoever comes.”
The Barcelona
teenager was also asked how he’s feeling after making his return from injury at the World Cup with Spain.
“I’m very well, very happy. I’ve been training hard and I’m excited to reach this point. I’m at 80-90% and improving, it’s not going down. I’m ready for 90 minutes,” he added.
“If I see a 50/50 ball, I don’t go in so as not to hurt anyone, but I train at full intensity. If you go in with fear, it’s worse because you can get hurt, but against Uruguay I wasn’t doing full sprints because we were already qualified.”
Yamal and Spain take on Austria next for a place in the last 16 of the World Cup.
