The Royals announced their games will air on FanDuel Sports Network again in 2026. They signed a one-year deal last year that included a mutual option for 2026. This season, games were available on Charter
Spectrum, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, U-verse TV, and Xtream powered by Mediacom, as well as through the FanDuel Sports Network app and as an add-on through Amazon Prime Video. Ten Royals games also aired on free over-the-air channels – KSMO and KCTV5 in Kansas City.
“There is nothing more important to us than connecting with and making our games available to our great fans,” said Royals chairman John Sherman. “Our viewership is growing and continues to rank among the best in baseball both through linear cable and streaming, and we look forward to continuing that strong momentum through our ownership group’s investment and the exciting team J.J. Picollo and his staff are building.”
The Royals did not announce how many games would air, or if the entire broadcast team would return. According to the team, their games ranked in the top ten in MLB in local TV household ratings in 2025.
FanDuel Sports Network is owned by Main Street Sports Group, formerly known as Diamond Sports Group. The group fell into bankruptcy last year and relinquished the rights of some teams. They rebranded their regional sports networks, which were once branded as the Bally Sports Network.
