Hansi Flick did not want to entertain any public debate against Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa after his latest comments on the refereeing following Barcelona’s complaint to UEFA over a “major error” in the Champions League clash against Atlético Madrid.
Barça have a legitimate reason to ask for a penalty for a handball on Marc Pubill, but Arbeloa chose to focus on Gerard Martín’s reversed red card last weekend as well as other situations that seem to favor Barça “week after week”, according to the Madrid
boss.
Flick was asked about Arbeloa’s comments in a press conference on Friday, but the coach was very clearly not interested in responding to them.
“I don’t care about these things, it’s this business, there’s a lot of noise between us, but that’s what I tell the team, we have to focus on ourselves and not on what Real Madrid does, we are in a good position and we have to win every game and only think about ourselves.
“Nothing, I’m not wasting my energy on it. It’s their opinion and I’m focused on my team.”
Hansi Flick is the best.
