Robert Lewandowski played down fears he had picked up an injury during Poland’s World Cup qualifying win on Sunday night.
The Barcelona striker scored in a 2-0 victory over Lithuania but appeared to be
grimacing towards the end of the game.
Lewandowski was asked about the situation after the match but insisted all is well.
“I got a little bit in the first half, but I finished the match, so I think everything is fine, there shouldn’t be a problem,” he told TVP Sport
The news will be a relief for Barcelona after seeing Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo return early from international duty with Spain this week.
Ferran has been diagnosed with just an overloand, not an injury, but Olmo is set to miss a couple of weeks. He joins Raphinha, Gavi and Joan Garcia on the injured list, while Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez look set to be given the green light to return shortly after returning to training.
