The Cincinnati Bengals have lost largely because of their defense over the past couple of years. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars, that wasn’t the case, though, as the Bengals’ defense kept them in the game.
The offense was what let down the team today, and it has a lot to do with Ja’Marr Chase going out early in the game. The wide receiver room, already missing Andrei Iosivas and rookie Colbie Young, became very thin with Chase being ruled out following a concussion.
With that, Joe Burrow struggled,
throwing multiple interceptions, and the Jaguars were able to key in on the run defense, keeping that entirely shut down. Burrow and the Bengals made a valiant effort, but were a yard short on offense. They will have to figure out an answer at wide receiver after finishing the day with only Dohnte Meyers and Mitch Tinsley still healthy.
With that said, let’s take a look at the Twitter reactions to the Bengals’ loss.
