Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
The NFL draft starts on Thursday 4/23, where all 32 teams will try to get harder, better, faster, stronger. This is the point in the offseason where everyone believes their team can change the trajectory of the franchise and either return or ascend to SuperBowl glory.
This 4 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, so let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
1. Every network has their “Draft Punk”, their expert who will immediately laud or condemn a pick 3 seconds after its announced: Mel Kiper Jr., Daniel Jeremiah, Dale Burgler are some examples. I personally get worried when the experts think we did amazing (ESPN gave us an “A” for 2022, Kiper was a “B”, for some examples of a draft class that has 0 Steelers on the 2026 roster). Is there a “Draft Punk” whose grade you’d trust?
2. How would you grade the coverage of the upcoming draft in Pittsburgh? Is the ‘Burgh getting a fair shake like some recent bigger cities?
3. Are you planning on staying up to see who the Steelers draft in Round 1 Thursday night? Do you want all the rounds or just check in and see what unfolded?
4. The Penguins take on the hated Flyers in the NHL playoffs tonight at 8PM eastern. Remember, hockey religions and ancient warriors are more than a match for Flyers on a slide. Let’s go Pens! Do you watch hockey? Favorite Hockey memory?
