Today, the Boston Legacy have announced that Sophia Lowenberg is headed on loan to Brooklyn FC of the Gainbridge Super League through December.
The midfielder was the club’s first-ever local college signing after playing four seasons at Boston College. She made her debut as a substitute versus KC Current on May 30.
“Sophia has made real progress since joining us from Boston College and has been a really positive presence within our training group,” said Boston Legacy director of recruitment Edward
Gallagher.
“She has a great personality, has adapted well to the demands of the NWSL environment, and now we feel competitive game time at the professional level will be key to the next stage of her development. We’ll remain in close contact with Sophia and Brooklyn throughout the loan, and our staff will continue to support her progression as we help prepare her for the next steps in 2027.”
