Lamine Yamal scored his first hat-trick for Barcelona on Saturday as Hansi Flick’s side beat Villareal 4-1 at Camp Nou in La Liga.
The teenager was in superb form as he helped secure all three points for the Catalan giants to move them four points clear at the top of the table.
After the match, Yamal was asked what he planned to do with his match ball and said he’d give it to his mom. Lamine was then captured by TV cameras enjoying a special moment with his family after the game.
Yamal may have stolen all the headlines but the hat-trick hero was happy to shower Pedri with praise for his performance off the bench.
“On the bench I was talking to Tek about how everything changed when Pedri came on,” he said.
“He took control of the game. The pass he gave me (for the 3-1 goal) was incredible, he left me alone. I’m also happy about his return.
“My best performance? I don’t know, that’s for you to decide! Flick and I talked about the substitution if we scored the third goal. I scored it and the two things came together!”
