Conferences returned to weekly injury reports for conference games for the 2025 season. We’re back with the report and updates for Week 13 against Virginia Tech.
Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal gave injury
updates during his standard Monday presser. And they are:
Unlike previous weeks, Cristobal wasn’t asked for any injury updates at his Monday presser, so we had to wait until Thursday evening for an update regarding player availability.
While those injuries are notable, they’re not the only ones. The initial report came out Thursday night at 8pm. Here’s the screenshot of the initial report:
The big news for Miami is the fact that WR C.J. Daniels and RB Mark Fletcher Jr. are not listed at all. So, they could (should?) both be on the path back to the field, but we’ve seen injury report shenanigans from Miami and other teams so far this season so I’ll be a bit cautious with my expectations here.
Additionally, CB O.J. Frederique is listed as probable, which could hint at a return from the star defender as well. DT David Blay is still questionable, so a bit further away from return than Fletcher or Frederique. Blay was listed as questionable last Thursday before being ruled out later in the week.
I honestly don’t know anything about VT’s roster and absences. It doesn’t really matter; Miami needs to go win regardless of who the opponent is playing or missing.
I’ll update this piece tomorrow with the Friday injury report and any updates it brings.
The Miami Hurricanes face the Virginia Tech Hokies in Blacksburg, VA on Saturday at Noon. The game will be televised on ESPN.
