Barcelona star Dani Olmo has become the latest player to praise Julian Alvarez amid talk of a summer move to Camp Nou.
Alvarez has ramped things up this week by asking for a transfer from Atletico Madrid, saying: “The best thing for everyone is a transfer, and I want to fulfill my dream.”
Barcelona players have been quizzed on the possibility of Alvarez arriving throughout the last few months and the Spain star has now been asked for his thoughts on the Argentina international.
“A very good player.
A world champion. High quality, hard-working. He’s a world-class footballer,” he told AS.
Olmo was also asked about Spain’s hopes of winning the World Cup and is in confident mood.
“It’s time, you could say, for the second star. We have the quality we’ve shown on the field,” he added.
“And the human quality of our people, our good people. It’s an opportunity we have. We know we can depend on ourselves. Because we have that quality and we can go for it.”
Spain and Olmo play a final group game against Uruguay on Friday in Mexico.
