Ketlen Souza got her revenge on former foe Ariane Carnelossi earlier tonight (Sat., June 6, 2026) at UFC Vegas 118 live on Paramount+ from inside UFC’s Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, turning in a sensational first-round knockout (head kick and punches) to spark the “Prelims” undercard.
This may not have been a matchup on the radar heading into Saturday night, but the pairing of Souza and Carnelossi did come with some history. The two veterans met once before back in 2019 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Carnelossi went
on to win that fight with a third-round TKO, which ended up earning her entry into UFC. Saturday’s rematch was Souza’s chance to redeem herself and pass Carnelossi in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division.
It didn’t take Souza long to get busy, especially since Carnelossi is a quicker starter in her own right. After about a minute of action, Souza landed a right hand that stuck Carnelossi and knocked her to the canvas. As she was attempting to return to her feet Souza uncorked a left head kick that land flushed and sent Carnelossi crashing into the fence. Souza followed up with one final right hand as the referee stepped in.

Souza, 30, is now riding her second two-fight win streak of her UFC career. The former Invicta FC flyweight champion has never quite lived to her hype after entering the promotion back in 2023 so maybe this knockout finish sparks a run at the UFC rankings. Souza certainly has the skill and finishing ability to do it.
