If you came away from the listless, ineffective loss to Minnesota checked out on Jedd Fisch, Demond Williams, and the whole 2026 Husky team, I couldn’t blame you. But what if I told you they had a chance to immediately exit the doldrums they have been stuck in for the first four weeks of the season? I’m not saying a win on the road against a very good USC team is a likely outcome, and I won’t be picking UW to win. At the same time, it would be the perfect time for the team to show that they have more
resilience and grit than they have shown through the season’s first four games. It has to start a the top, with a gameplan from Jedd Fisch that gets the most out of his team. That means calling more designed runs for his elite running QB rather than asking him to sit behind and inexperienced and struggling offensive line. It means taking advantage of a USC defense that has shown vulnerability against even worse teams. It also means a locked-in defensive performance like we saw in the first two weeks of the season. If the Dawgs can put together those elements, maybe we aren’t quite dead yet.
The game will kick off at 4:30 PT from the Coliseum in Los Angeles. It will air on NBC and stream on the NBC Sports app. Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, and Kathryn Will call the game. KJR 93.3 FM and Sirius channel 84 will have Elise Woodward’s radio broadcast, joined by Cam Cleeland and Softy Mahler.
Go Dawgs!
