According to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, the Denver Broncos have waived inside linebacker Taurean York today.
York signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft. In 2025, he led the Aggies with 73 tackles, added 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack,
and three pass breakups, and earned third-team All-SEC honors as a captain.
The main drawback with York is his size and in the NFL that matters. Of all the positive traits, the undersized at the position was the main red flag we covered in our roster view this summer:
York is a talented player with elite instincts and play recognition, but he is just undersized. He lacks the height, length, and size you typically see from an NFL linebacker, but otherwise, he checks all the other boxes.
However, he was also a guy who really impressed in training camp and I feel he should be a lock for the 16-man practice squad.
