The Florida State coaching staff has decided to bring in a veteran running back with proven production during this transfer portal cycle, with former Texas Longhorn Quintrevion Wisner committing to FSU.
Wisner, at 6-foot, 195 pounds, is originally from Glenn Heights, Texas. He spent the past three seasons in Austin, notching
21 starts out of 38 total games played. It was thought he’d enter the 2026 NFL Draft but he decided to transfer instead, much to the chagrin of many Texas fans.
Wisner led the Longhorns in rushing in each of the past two seasons. His most productive year was in 2024, earning third team All-SEC honors as he finished with 1,064 yards on 226 carries (4.7 average) and five touchdowns.
Wisner has one season of eligibility remaining. He will immediately push for heavy involvement in the running back rotation and should provide a nice veteran presence in the room.
From his Texas bio:
A third-year running back who has played in 37 games with 20 starts … named third-team All-SEC in 2024.
