On Monday, Notre Dame released its depth charts for the upcoming game against Arkansas. The Irish finally tweaked the depth chart, and obviously it’s on the defensive side of the ball.
Tae Johnson takes
over as the starter at the Field Safety and Jalen Stroman moves into the backup role. Freshman Dallas Golden moves to the backup spot at nickel while Chance Tucker moves to the backup spot behind Leonard Moore. Essentially, Karson Hobbs (who saw no snaps against Purdue) is edged out of playing time, and when Shuler came into the game against the Boilers — it was for Stroman.
We’ll see how much these changes help an Irish defense that has been very below standard to date.
