Rafa Garcia captured the biggest win of his career earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 13, 2025) LIVE on ESPN+ from inside Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Tex., putting a stop to lightweight veteran Jared Gordon with a third-round TKO (punches and elbows).
This main card scrap had Fight of the Night written all over it and for good reason. Garcia and Gordon have proved to be two of the grittiest fighters at 155 pounds today and offensive whirlpools who rarely take a step back. Garcia possessed the better
wrestling coming in, but Gordon appeared to have the advantage with his punching power.
While Gordon showed incredible toughness and badly hurt Garcia on multiple occasions, it was Garcia who did the most damage along the way. This included takedowns, elbows inside, and combinations in bunches. Garcia’s efforts came full circle in Round 3 with a big knockdown followed by heavy ground-and-pound to earn just his second-career knockout stoppage.

Garcia, 31, is now 4-1 in his last five trips to the Octagon. He was the betting underdog coming into Saturday’s barn burner against Gordon, but still rose to the occasion to earn the most impressive performance of his 11-year pro career.
