What is the story about?
The
summer transfer window is officially in the books, and there are several clubs that have a legitimate argument for taking home the crown. But which team actually did the best business? Here are some candidates:
- Bayern Munich: Nathaniel Brown and Ismaël Saibari give Vincent Kompany more athleticism, versatility and attacking quality. Bayern Munich did not overhaul the squad, but did they make the right additions without unnecessarily spending? As of now, it sure seems like it.
- Barcelona: Rodri and Anthony Gordon represent two major additions. Rodri could transform the midfield, while Gordon gives Barcelona another dynamic attacking option. If both fit quickly, this could be a huge window.
- Liverpool: Bradley Barcola was the headline addition, giving Liverpool another explosive player capable of creating and finishing chances. Is one major attacking signing enough to win the window?
- Real Madrid: Yan Diomande is another exciting young talent for a club that continues to prioritize the future. Madrid may not have needed a massive overhaul, but landing a potential star could prove extremely valuable.
- Chelsea: Morgan Rogers brings creativity, versatility and Premier League experience. Chelsea will be hoping he can take another step forward at Stamford Bridge.
- Manchester City: Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Enzo Fernández give City an intriguing combination of youth, potential and established quality. Could this be the deepest window of the group?
- Tottenham Hotspur: Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes significantly strengthen the midfield. Tonali brings experience and intensity, while Fernandes offers another exciting option.
