One month football is officially in the books. Week 4 did not feature a record-tying amount of one-score games but there were still 11 of 16 games that were decided by one score. Game winning drives were on display with the Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys coming up with 2:00 drill drives to put their team on top.
My Week 4 picks tallied a 10-6; bringing me to a collective 37-27 overall record through four weeks. What’s the slate for Week 5 and who will win? Here are my Week 5 picks,
including a potential look at a Super Bowl LXI preview…

My Week 5 Picks
(Bye: Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys — Thurs., 8:15 p.m. ET
The Bucs are staring at the first overall pick if things continue which does not bode well since they just handed Baker Mayfield an extension.
The Cowboys offense is strong and should handle Tampa Bay on prime time.
My Pick: Cowboys 33-20
Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars — Sun., 8:30 a.m. ET
Pure bliss. That’s what it was to watch the Eagles lose in Week 4. Trouble is brewing in Philadelphia. Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts are on the HOT seat. The pair of them are single-handedly ruining their chances weekly with a top 10 defense.
I think the key here is that Jacksonville will be ready to play in London after last year’s letdown against Los Angeles. Trevor Lawrence will be tested by Vic Fangio, but Liam Coen will have plenty of tape to look at from Week 4.
My Pick: Jaguars 20-16
Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami Dolphins — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Blow out incoming. Joe Burrow will go off against the Bengals to get Cincinnati back in the AFC North division hunt.
My Pick: Bengals 38-14
Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Browns are 3-1?!? How about the Browns are 4-1!
My Pick: Browns 23-20 (OT)
Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
There is no way that Demeco Ryans and the Texans drop to 0-5. But Cam Ward and the Titans will…
My Pick: Texans 27-18
Indianapolis Colts @ Pittsburgh Steelers — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
With the game being in Pittsburgh, I’ll lean to the outdoor team…
My Pick: Steelers 24-20
Las Vegas Raiders @ New England Patriots — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Raiders are a good football and not to be overlooked. But I think the east coast trip could trip them up. Mike Vrabel will probably learn from the Super Bowl of how to better defend Klint Kubiak’s offense.
My Pick: Patriots 28-27
Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Vikings are 4-0 but have they really played anyone? The Packers, Bears (bad weather & Caleb Williams hurt), Buccaneers, and Dolphins are not exactly strong teams.
My Pick: Saints 23-20
New York Giants @ Washington Commanders — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
Just to make things interesting in the NFC East, I think Jayden Daniels return makes the division a wide open race.
My Pick: Commanders 31-27
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers — Sun., 1:00 p.m. ET
The Ben Johnson-Matt LaFleur feud game. Can Green Bay find any sort of rhythm? They get this game because Caleb Williams won’t be able to deliver late.
My Pick: Packers 23-20
Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers — Sun., 4:05 p.m. ET
It’s not pretty for the Chargers right now and Jim Harbaugh is likely to get fired here soon.
My Pick: Broncos 27-21
Detroit Lions @ Arizona Cardinals — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
The Cardinals are playing better football and they will have a chance because the Lions defense is just so bad.
My Pick: Lions 38-30
San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks — Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
This game is interesting not only because it is an NFC West battle of two teams in the Top 5 of the NFL but rather because I am interested to know if Kyle Shanahan has figured out how to attack Mike Macdonald’s defense.
My Pick: Seahawks 27-23
Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons — Sun., 8:20 p.m. ET
The Falcons offensive line is just so good. If Atlanta had an elite quarterback, they could be a Super Bowl contender because that Falcons line and Bijan Robinson are just so good.
My Pick: Falcons 27-24
Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Rams — Mon., 8:15 p.m. ET
The last time these two teams met. 2024 at SoFi Stadium. It turned into a track meet with the Rams finding a way to come out on top 44-42 despite Josh Allen’s six-touchdown game. It may not be as high scoring as Week 14 of the 2024 season but it will be an offensive game for sure.
This is widely considered to be a Super Bowl LXI preview. With the Bills motivated to capture the AFC #1 seed away from the Chiefs and following a disappointing loss to the Patriots, Josh Allen and Co. might take this one.
My Pick: Bills 38-33
