Good morning everyone –
A couple of weeks ago I had informed you that my third French press broke this year. Three French presses broken in one year for one household must be a new record.
I solicitated coffee-making suggestions to you at the time. I am sifting through them. I saw that the aeropress got a lot of love, as did this stainless steel French press (never knew that was a thing!).
Right now I’m nursing my wounds. I picked up a $10 French press at a Homegoods store this past weekend. It’s made
of plastic. It looks cheap, it feels cheap. But I don’t think it’ll shatter into a thousand pieces when it falls on my floor.
If it does, I’ll let you know.
I’m also still hanging out with my little moka pot that gives me one cup of coffee, although the milk frother I had is no longer working. Apparently I forgot to clean it before leaving for a trip a few months ago. I threw it out some time in the spring.
So there you have it. We’re still shopping for coffee makers. Can I wait a month or so for any good deals? I think so. Til then, I’ll keep on trucking on.
