This week we asked a question that seems to have split the fanbase down the middle.
Coming off the win over the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys have evened their record to 2-2, not necessarily good, but they weren’t bad either. Like everything from the split record of 2-2 to the split personality – the Cowboys offense equals good, the Cowboys defense equals bad – people seem to be split in their opinions about the prospects of the team.
Mainly, will they be a playoff team? Are they viable contenders
to make the tournament?
Turns out Cowboys fans split almost evenly on this question. 48% said yes, they were a playoff team. 52% said no, wait until next year. (There might have been a few NFC East fans from other teams jumping in there).
The Cowboys need a win tonight to make it feel like any playoff dream could happen. Losing at home to the 0-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are playing without Baker Mayfield, would be a big puncture in any playoff balloon. Especially when you are favored by 8.5 points.
Our question about confidence in the direction of the franchise followed a similar vote (47% confident to 53% not confident).
