Two series sweeps, a six-game win streak, and a lot of momentum to face the San Francisco Giants… can Bryce Elder continue this run for the Atlanta Braves?
Elder is currently boasting a 3.95 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. His last start against the Dodgers didn’t go well, with eight hits allowed and three earned runs. Against the Diamondbacks, he gave up four hits with one run, and before that, his outing against the Mets resulted in 10 hits and seven earned runs.
But let’s not focus on the past.
In the past,
the Braves were also struggling to get hits and would get defeated in low-scoring games. Now, it seems a leaf has been turned over in this postseason push, and Elder is expected to jump on board.
Giants’ Anthony Molina returns to face his former team. Remember hearing his name before getting traded for Tyler Mahle at the trade deadline? Well, he’s back, and people are thinking he’s coming with a vengeance to seek over Atlanta. He’s holding on to a 2.89 ERA and making his third big-league start.
The Giants are 23-45 when away, but it doesn’t mean they won’t search for kinks in the Braves’ armor.
