Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Cardinals fans and fans across the country.
Happy Labor Day one and all.
Hope you are able to enjoy an extra day off before the NFL kicks off this Wednesday and the season gets under way.
The Arizona Cardinals remain maybe the team with the lowest expectations from the national media not only on the season, but in week one.
The Cardinals are +9.5 underdogs heading into the game against
the Los Angeles Chargers and they have the worst odds in the NFL to make the playoffs at +2000 according to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Why? Well maybe it has something to do with the draft work of one Monti Ossenfort.
We asked, and you graded the Monti Ossenfort era in terms of drafting and to say the grades were underwhelming is probably an understatement.
The reality is, if you do not draft well, it is really hard to win. Combine that with maybe some of the worst free agent classes in the past three seasons (we will hold out hope for this year) and you get a GM who has won 15 games in three seasons.
Maybe this is the year things turn around, but we know the 2026 draft class will be without two of their top four picks all season, so who knows.
