With Bayern Munich leading Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-0 at halftime, head coach Vincent Kompany subbed out team captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
There was no word on why exactly Neuer was subbed off yet. The 39-year-old did not appear to have an injury, so bringing on Jonas Urbig was curious to say the least.
During his time on the pitch, Neuer had one save and completed all seven of his passes, as the Bavarians were just too strong for Gladbach.
If Neuer is hurt, there could be a lot of heat directed
at the club for allowing him to comeback so early after suffering an injury setback as recently as last week. Hopefully, Neuer’s removal was just a precaution.
