Earlier this month, it was reported that the Cincinnati Bengals would host a joint practice on August 20 with the Chicago Bears ahead of their August 22 preseason game. And now we get word that the Bears will also spend Thursday, August 27, at the Tennessee Titans’ practice facility before their Week 3 preseason game on August 29.
Much like the Bengals, the Titans also have some training camp practices open for fans, so stay tuned when those are available if you plan to be in the Nashville area this
summer.
Last season, the Bears also held two joint practices, with the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills each stopping by Halas Hall ahead of their preseason games. Those were weeks one and two of the preseason, so we’ll have to see if a joint practice before the preseason finale will alter head coach Ben Johnson’s playing time in their final practice game. Last year, he played Caleb Williams and some offensive starters the entire first half of Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
What are your thoughts on NFL teams having joint practices?
