That’s the question this academy-centric site poses here and says it’s an opportunity for Air Force and other teams. The Falcons had momentum coming into the season and kicked it off with a win.
Murray Rankings.
Chris Murray attempts to untangle the conference rankings this week. UNLV is in the top spot after
their 2-0 start, although they acknowledge no team truly deserves this spot. Then Fresno State also rises while Boise State and Hawaii drop a bit. The Sprtans have a big drop from 2 to 7, while New Mexico arguably doesn’t rise as much as they should (12 to 11). Nevada claims the bottom spot this week.
Becca Perez has rebuilt the Spartans’ roster.
Beca Perez is a unicorn, one of only three female DPPs in FBS football this year. But Perez is succeeding on the recruiting trail despite the most limied resources of the three. She has been involved with football since her freshman year of high school and has been successful at every stop she’s made, moving up the ladder quickly.
What is life like on the hot seat?
Every year, people discuss coaches and atheltic directors who are on the hot seat for one reason or another. But what is it like for those people while they are working knowing their job is on the line? They lament how it doesn’t just impact them, but their spouses and kids at school who hear the noise. Everyone wants to win, as it brings the money into the school. Often, ADs attempt to give a coach their inherit a year or two because once they make their own hire, it starts their own clock. There’s some good nuggets in here too.
