Indiana women’s basketball (14-11, 3-10 Big Ten) is set to take on USC (15-9, 7-6 Big Ten) on the road for a late Thursday night matchup.
The Hoosiers are coming off of three consecutive Big Ten wins, their
first victories in league play on the season. Indiana’s defense has been better as of late, holding Northwestern to three points in the first quarter, doing enough to keep Wisconsin at bay and keeping Purdue at just 59 points on the game. Shay Ciezki has been great all season, but especially so in those three wins.
The Trojans are in an interesting spot. Star JuJu Watkins remains out for the season and USC has stumbled a bit without her, sitting at a pedestrian 7-6 in Big Ten play. It’s a tough conference, but that’s a steep drop. The Trojans have a balanced offensive attack with four players averaging double figures but sparse contributions outside of said four. They struggle from 3-point range and have compiled their fair share of turnovers.
