Merry Christmas to all who celebrate the occasion and happiness to all on this day. The NBA has a big slate of games but, as is typical, the Portland Trail Blazers aren’t on the Christmas Day schedule this year. They play on Friday night versus the Los Angeles Clippers. You can bet Blazer’s Edge will be humming right along with previews, reviews, and all of that tomorrow.
Until then, though, we have our own slate of Christmas questions to keep discussion going throughout the day for those of you impassioned
with the Blazers (or avoiding your obligatory family gatherings for whatever reason). Enjoy thinking about these topics with fellow Blazers fans!
Our second question of the day is a serious one. The Blazers headed into this season vowing to make a run for the 2026 NBA Playoffs. So far, about a third of the way through the year, their record is 12-18. Injuries have played a big part, along with a few other disruptions. As they break for Christmas, give us your honest opinion. Are the Blazers going to be a playoffs team this year? Note that we’re asking about the play-OFFS, not the relatively-easier-to-achieve Play-In Tournament. Almost every team that doesn’t outright stink has a chance for a Play-In finish. Whether they make it conventionally or via the tournament, will the Blazers have a Final 8 bracket seed in the Western Conference in 2026?
Think on that for a while, share your thoughts in the comments section, and watch for other questions throughout the day!
