Harry Kane recently sat down with Yassin Nfaoui from the Telegraph to give an interview. The Bayern Munich star was asked about how he wanted to be remembered in football, which he said was being a team player, continuously improving oneself, and to enjoy the sport for as long as possible. Bixente Lizarazu, a former Bayern player, heard of this and did the right thing and glazed Kane for his words and character.
“This interview is class. You have to show it to the other players,” Lizarazu said (as
captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “His vision is extremely collective. You’re nothing without your teammates in this sport. The team is above everything. He believes he can win it and that he has arguments for that. But he also mentioned other players and their merits. I’ve not always heard that from the others.”
Lizarazu joins a list of notable figures in the football world who praised the England striker. Although the ex-Athletic Club player didn’t directly endorse Kane for the Ballon d’Or, it’s as good an endorsement as any.
