Colby Covington just picked up his first win since March 2022.
Indeed, times have been tough for Donald Trump’s (almost) favorite UFC fighter. The former interim Welterweight champion has lost his last two bouts, a one-sided decision to then-champion Leon Edwards following by a bloody mauling at the hands of Joaquin Buckley. “Chaos” isn’t in the title mix anymore, and he spends most of his time lately speculating about match ups that aren’t going to happen, like Lightweight Paddy Pimblett or retired
Dustin Poirier.
Fortunately, 37-year-old Covington has found prey he can still beat up on: social media influencers! Instagram star Chrogman has gained fame in recent months for challenging his online followers (including Andrew Tate) to fisticuffs. He’s not particularly skilled or especially tough, but Chrogman found his way to the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada to throw down with “Chaos.”
Their boxing match can be viewed in the video player above. Covington has very little trouble with the wonky punches of Chrogman, putting him down twice with body shots in a short period of time. Chrogman is down for the count the second time around, and the blurred video seems to show him puking in the cage shortly afterward.
It ain’t much … but it’s honest work?
At the time of writing, Covington remains unbooked and in pursuit of a UFC White House return. How much longer Covington intends to compete remains uncertain, particularly since glamorous paths forward like WWE stardom and Florida governorship await him.
