As the Kansas City Chiefs take on the New York Jets in Week 9, the Chiefs will be honoring military service members at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11th. One honor will feature a new jersey patch:

Chiefs to wear pre-game
patch Sunday inspired by American Revolution’s 1st battle | The Kansas City Star
A statue of Parker (also known as the Minuteman Statue) stands in Lexington, and it is the inspiration for a patch the Chiefs (Shop Chiefs Fan Gear) players and staff will wear on their pre-game gear before Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
Sunday is the Chiefs’ Salute To Service game, and the team also will be honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary. Here are other things planned for the game:
Here is who national experts predict will win NY Jets at KC Chiefs game | The Kansas City Star
A 30-13 Chiefs victory is the outlook from NBC Sports’ Mike Florio, who wrote: “The Chiefs may play with their food (again) on Sunday, but they’ll eventually eat the whole meal.”
A 27-13 Chiefs win is the prediction from the Associated Press’ Rob Maaddi. This is part of what he wrote: “The Jets don’t have a chance against a Chiefs team that’s coming off two losses and trying to get back on track. New York has to focus on stockpiling picks before next week’s trade deadline.”
NFL Week 9 ATS picks: Are Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford slipping? | The Athletic
New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) | 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS
The Jets just lost home games to the Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders, and coach Aaron Glenn appears to be a dead man walking. But in my best Lee Corso voice, “Not so fast, my friend.” The Jets can run the ball … and Geno Smith is slinging it pretty well … and five of their six losses have come by 7 points or fewer. Plus the whole Mahomes-is-washed thing. Take the points.
The pick: Jets
Rams officially place ex-Chiefs DB on injured reserve list in Week 9 | Chiefs Wire
Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson was placed on the Los Angeles Rams’ injured reserve list ahead of the California-based franchise’s Week 9 tilt with the Washington Commanders.
Watson began his professional career as a seventh-round pick of the Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft and played with Kansas City for four seasons.
After a shoulder injury derailed the former Washington State Cougar’s first season with Los Angeles, news broke earlier this week that Watson would require surgery that would keep him out of action for multiple weeks.
NFL Week 9 preview: Picks, predictions, schedule, betting odds, fantasy tips | ESPN
What we’re hearing on the Jets: New York is showing signs of life on offense, especially the past two weeks, but the Jets left a lot of points on the field because of poor efficiency in the red zone — they’re last with a 42% conversion percentage. They actually devoted more practice time this week to red zone play. “We just have to be better. And there is a sense of urgency,” offensive coordinator Frank Reich said of the red zone woes. RB Breece Hall (quadriceps) is expected back after a five-game absence, but WR Garrett Wilson (concussion) could be out. — Rich Cimini

Bengals vs. Falcons: Three must-know storylines for NFL Week 9 Madrid game | NFL.com
Is there any slowing down Cincy’s offense?
The Bengals have scored 78 points in the six quarters and change since a scoreless first half coming out of the bye in Baltimore. Will their offensive onslaught continue in Spain?
Joe Burrow paces the NFL in most notable passing stats (73.0 completion percentage, 302.1 passing YPG, 20 TDs). Only four players in the Super Bowl era have ever led the league in all three of those categories in a season: Drew Brees (2011), Tom Brady (2007), Kurt Warner (2001) and Ken Stabler (1976). It helps, of course, to have the NFL’s top receiving tandem on your side. Burrow’s passer ratings when targeting Tee Higgins (132.3) and Ja’Marr Chase (113.6) each rank in the top five among QB-WR tandems in the NFL. It’s a pick-your-poison deal for opposing defenses.
Broncos and Bo Nix have won 16 straight one-score games | Pro Football Talk
Via NBC Sports research, the streak ties the 2023-24 Chiefs (with starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes) for the longest streak since 1950.
The Broncos last lost a one-score game in Week 3 of the 2025 season, 23-20 at the Chargers. Since then, the Broncos have won every one-score game in which they have played.
Detroit Lions place Jack Campbell on IR, sign PS cornerback to active roster | Pride of Detroit
“I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body,” Campbell said. “I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better.”
Since then, Lions coach Dan Campbell has said Campbell continues to improve.

What the Chiefs are saying about the Jets
“Allen has had four really good games, and it feels like they want to feature the running back no matter who’s back there,” Spagnuolo pointed out. “I think they’re a little bit different, and yet I think they both run the scheme really well.”
I think he looks Derrick Henry-ish to me sometimes,” Spags described Allen. ”He’s a big guy. So, we’ve got to be on point tackling.
“It will all start with run defense, where Kansas City ranks eighth in rushing yards allowed per game (96) and third in yards per rushing attempt (3.5). The Seahawks ran for 153 yards a couple of weeks ago, but no other opponent has hit 120 or more yards against the Chiefs on the ground this season.
