Barcelona midfielder Gavi is in the spotlight currently due to a lack of game time at the club under Hansi Flick.
The 22-year-old has only made seven appearances in all competitions for Barca in 2026-27, with just two of those being starts. All of which means there’s already speculation flying around that he’s “very disappointed” with his current situation.
There was an expectation that Gavi might start against Alaves at the weekend but he did not feature at all in the 6-1 win for the Catalan giants.
Flick was quizzed on Gavi ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Aston Villa but didn’t offer much in the way of assurances about his playing time going forwards.
“We all know his quality and Gavi is always an option, but once the game starts that option can disappear and you can’t always stick to your initial plan,” he told reporters. “I’ve spoken with him and the important thing is that he has confidence.”
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Should Hansi Flick hand Gavi more game time at Barcelona?
