One of the most striking things about UNC’s chaotic football season to date is how aggressive WRAL has been about covering the issues the program is having.
Typically, local TV stations just post brief
stories about games, coaches and players, with maybe some human interest stories.
Not this time.

It’ll be interesting to see how WRAL deals with UNC’s brutal loss at Cal.
Down 21-18 late in the fourth, UNC had a chance to take the lead, but receiver Nathan Leacock fumbled the ball on the one-yard line and Cal recovered it in the end zone.
After that, Cal basically moved down the field and burned the clock. The Tar Heels got the ball back with just :05 left and while they had some fun on the last play, in the end, Cal snuffed that out, too.
