Jayden Daniels will not play Sunday when the Washington Commanders face the New York Giants. Washington’s second-year quarterback left Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings after aggravating his left elbow,
which he dislocated in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Daniels, picked No. 2 in the 2024 NFL Draft, was AP Offensive Rookie of the Year last season when the Commanders made the playoffs with a 12-5 record. This year, knee, hamstring, and elbow injuries have limited him to seven games.
The Commanders, expected to be a contender this season, are 3-10 and have lost eight straight games.
Marcus Mariota will start at quarterback for Washington. He has played in nine games this season with starts, completing 62.9% of his passes. The Commanders are 1-5 in games Mariota has started.
The Giants are 2.5-point favorites over the Commanders, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
