Daniel Santos had made a habit of beating South Korean fighters, but Doo Ho Choi put an end to that.
On Saturday night, Choi fought Santos in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 117, scoring a nasty second-round body shot knockout to make it three stoppage wins in a row for “Korean Superboy.”
Things didn’t start out great for Choi, as for the first five minutes, it looked like Santos was going to make it three consecutive victories over South Korean fighters, as he tuned the UFC Hall of Famer up with a barrage
of explosive strikes. Choi weathered the early storm, though, and in the second round, started to take control of the fight from the fading “Willycat.” That culminated with a wicked body shot that folded Santos up, and handed Choi another sensational knockout victory.
After the fight, Choi called out former Bellator champion Patricio Pitbull.
